Journey So Far...

As a Mentor

Coach for IBM

I was lucky enough to clear IBM’s cloud developer exam (IBM certified application developer cloud platform v1), one of the first 400 people in the world at that time to do so. Hence  IBM used to call a few other developers and me for the boot camps and hackathons.

IBM called me to organize multiple coding boot camps between 2015 to 2017 as the head trainer for the developer on the topics of Bluemix (IBM’s cloud solution) and Mobilefirst (IBM mobile application development solution). The main objective of those boot camps was to learn and use IBM’s technologies to create a working prototype (MVP) of an Idea related to a given domain to win prizes. The boot camps usually lasted for a month.

This was my first experience geeking out and socializing with talents outside my current workplace.

Coach for Pesto

In 2020 I got a chance to groom the next generation of technology curtsy of the people at Pesto tech. They designed a curriculum focused on learning and understanding the software development process and lifecycle.

The curriculum started with an ideation phase and end with a seminar on the MVP the participants have developed over 3 months. We also discussed different aspects of the tech sector, including culture and life in a startup vs a MNC. There were participants of all kinds of backgrounds who were freshers, some were working and wanted a career change, and a few were coming after a career break.
